This is a hint guide and full walkthrough for Fantasy Egg. The game is not particularly challenging but some of the in-game puzzle hints are designed to be vague and obtuse, so I thought I'd put this guide together just in case.
Overworld Eggs
Five of the eggs can be found on the overworld. Their locations are as follows:
B3 (directly south of the fairy fountain)
B4 (inside the cave)
D2 (by the lakeside)
F1 (by the mountain pond)
D4 (next to the cave entrance by the broken bridge)
The Final 3 Eggs
GAZE INTO EYES OF WOLF
Hint 1:
One part of the map is designed to resemble an animal...
Hint 2:
The wolf is located on screen C3.
Solution:
Try walking into the bushes representing the wolf's eyes.
Seashell Secret
Hint 1:
The shopkeeper loves seashells! Perhaps you could collect some for him?
Hint 2:
There are 6 seashells in total. They are all located by the shoreline.
Solution:
All 6 seashells are located in the following areas:
A4 (1 seashell)
B4 (1 seashell)
C4 (2 seashells)
E4 (2 seashells)
SECRET IS WHERE MIRROR IS NOT
Hint 1:
Try to look for areas of the world that are mirror images of each other, and look for inconsistencies between them.
Hint 2:
The mirror line runs horizontally through the map. Which rooms would look similar if you placed a mirror on this line?
Hint 3:
Screens A2 and A3 are mirror images of each other... or are they? What is missing from screen A2?
Solution:
You need to walk into one of the wall tiles on the bottom middle part of screen A2. This tile mirrors the location of the cave entrance on screen A3.
Other Questions
Where do I take the eggs once I have collected them?
You need to take the eggs to the temple located in the top left hand corner of the map (Screen A1). Once you're inside, walk through the topmost door and keep heading north from there.
How do I navigate the maze in the temple?
Hint:
You will need to use your knowledge of the overworld map to plot the longest route from screen F1 to screen C1. Remember those directions and then apply that route to the temple maze.
Solution:
The route to take is as follows:
Left, left, down, left, up.
What should I do with the sage's message?
Be sure to write the message down first! The symbols represent the 4 card suits, Heart, Diamond, Club, and Spade.
The code the sage gives you can be inputted at the secret second temple by stepping on the tiles corresponding to each card suit. Beware! Stepping on an incorrect tile will reset the sequence so tread carefully.
Where can I find the secret second temple?
You can find a passage to the second temple in a cave on screen D4. Follow the path from there and you should see the temple.
